Get to know In Motion Media

Founder of ‘In Motion Media’ Tatenda Moyo is a Harare born and KwaZulu natal raised individual who enjoys exercise and conversing with his friends during his free time. He completed his AS Level Cambridge curriculum in 2019 and enrolled at the University of Pretoria right after for a BSc Medical Science Degree. The idea behind the name ‘In Motion Media’ came from his belief in moving forward in all aspects of life and to help other businesses in doing so to gain more clientele, hence the slogan "Keeping Your Growth in Motion". He believes that every entrepreneur should research, work hard, and invest their time wisely. 

In Motion Media offers a range of services from Web Development, Social Media Management, Google Ads, Promotional Videos, Flyer, and Poster Design. In Motion Media also creates business emails because their main target market is small businesses that are still finding their feet and looking for assistance in terms of marketing. Mr. Moyo mentions that having a work/life balance is one of the most difficult things to do while pursuing his BSc Degree. 

Being available for the business is tough, especially creating the time to connect with clients and self-marketing. To assist himself he ensures that he has proper schedules with tasks set according to priority. His favorite part about being an entrepreneur is being able to help others reach their goals while simultaneously reaching his goals. His least favorite part is constantly thinking of how he can improve with limited expenses. To improve himself, he ensures he works on avoiding procrastination so that he never works under pressure. 

Mr. Moyo mentions that whilst growing up he never actually thought he would be in business; he always saw himself as some sort of Engineer or Scientist. The idea of business only came to him when he started university and doing research on finance and reading business-oriented material. What he likes best about his business is that it is very personal and relational, “we communicate directly to our clients, which helps us understand their need so we can solve it more effectively” says Mr. Moyo.
He was inspired by his mentor Abel Machekano who runs Megashift Logistics, a removal company based in Randburg, Johannesburg. Mr Machekano is a hardworking individual who cares for people, and this is evident in his business and personal life. He was there when Mr. Moyo started, he had faith in him and encouraged him through his development. The second person who has helped him in his business journey and inspires him is his partner, Tinotenda Mabenge, a software developer that has helped immensely when problems with software or devices were encountered. “He is an honest individual who always gives me sincere advice and feedback on anything I produce” adds Mr. Moyo.

 He mentions that he has great friends (Menzi, Tendakai and Anakho) who have always encouraged him and who remain honest in their opinions. They always spark great conversations about ideas for a better future for them and the economy at large, which is rare for people who are still in their early 20s. His family has always been incredibly supportive and has been very encouraging throughout his life. Special thank you to Tino (Tinotenda Mabenge) who has always been helpful when I am in crisis with any tech issues, taking time out of his day to assist me. 

His five-year plan includes having completed his degree as well as growing his business to a place where he can start creating jobs and doing what he can to help the unemployment rate in the country and far especially for recent graduates who sometimes find themselves stranded without employment due to lack of experience, which they are not able to attain if no one wants to take a chance on them.
